Number of newly registered unemployed persons decreases

Bulgaria's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy reports that so far, 9,030 employers have submitted applications for compensation from the state under the so-called measure 60 to 40, undertaken in support of employment in light of the Covid-19 crisis. On this basis, the Labour Ministry predicts that the jobs of 131,146 workers will be kept. 

A decrease is seen in the number of unemployed people. On April 30, 1,637 new unemployed citizens were registered, which is three times less than three weeks ago. 
On April 30 alone, 1,007 people were recruited to work with the help of the state-run employment bureaus. 
Since the start of the state of emergency on March 13, a total of 19,134 people have started a new job.
