Number of registered Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria goes to 2,004

A total of 23 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the country during the last 24 hours, the National Operational Headquarters secretary Assoc. Prof. Dimo Dimov announced. 13 of the infected persons have been admitted for hospital treatment. Among them is a 4-year-old child and four medics. 

The total number of people diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Bulgaria has reached 2,004. 368 patients are in hospitals, of which 50 are in intensive care units. 

For the past 24 hours, 1,979 PCR tests were performed, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning of the epidemic to 58,713. This makes 8,387 tests per 1 million of the population. 

The number of deaths is 93. The average age of deceased patients is 66.7 years.
