Two Bulgarians on Elon Musk’s team for SpaceX

Two Bulgarian specialists are part of the team of the American entrepreneur Elon Musk working on the historic launch of the SpaceX rocket into space.

Kiril Donchev, 30, is the director of ground operations in preparation for the launch of the Dragon capsule and has been with Elon Musk’s company for ten years. He was born in Bulgaria, but has lived in the United States since he was a child, where he graduated from the University of Michigan.

Orlin Velev, 25, is responsible for the structural stability of SpaceX spacecraft and has been working for Elon Musk for three years. He also grew up in the United States. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech University, and his father, Orlin Velev Sr., is a professor of chemistry at the University of North Carolina.
