French-German consortium SOF Connect is to be Sofia Airport’s concessionaire for the next 35 years.

This was made possible after the Supreme Administration Court ruled today that a decision by the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) from November 14, 2019 is valid. The CPC’s decision confirmed the selection of SOF Connect for concessionaire for Sofia Airport made by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications. The procedure was halted over the legal proceedings, after three of the participants in the public tender for concessionaire lodged an appeal.
