People who recovered from Covid-19 build immunity

Over 90% of people who were diagnosed with the virus, had symptoms and have already recovered, build lasting immunity within a year.

In an interview with BNT, pulmonologist Dr. Alexander Simidchiev, head of ward at Hospital of the Ministry of Interior, explained that those who recover more easily, clear the virus away and have no permanent damage. People who are more seriously ill, especially those who need intensive treatment, can suffer from permanent lung damage, the doctor added.
