The semi-final playoff for participation in the European Football Championship in 2021 between the national teams of Bulgaria and Hungary will be played on October 8, UEFA has announced. The match will be played in Sofia. The match was originally scheduled to take place on March 26, but due to the coronavirus pandemic it was postponed, just like the entire Euro 2020. If successful, the national team will face the winner of the match between Iceland and Romania on October 12. Bulgaria would host this possible match as well.
