Bulgaria has joined the NATO multinational initiative - NATO Flight Training in Europe (NFTE). The network includes 11 countries from the Alliance.
The initiative creates a system of connected national facilities. In them, under a unified program pilots will have access to shared training opportunities. Bulgarian pilots will be able to train in the countries part of the agreement. For the training of foreign pilots, Bulgaria provides for international use the Air Force School in Dolna Mitropolia, the country’s airspace, firing ranges, etc. Drone operators will be trained at the naval school in Varna.
