There has been no change in the radiation situation in Bulgaria, Deputy Chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency Borislav Stanimirov has told BNR. We have information that a slight increase in background radiation has detected in Sweden. We received an inquiry from the International Agency whether there was any accident in Bulgaria. Of course, we do not have such a case here.

According to the data of the National Radiation Monitoring System, the radiation situation in this country has not changed in the past three weeks. Mr. Stanimirov was asked to comment on reports of a slight increase in radiation in Finland, Sweden and Norway coming from a source in western Russia.
