Luxembourg is the third largest investor in Bulgaria

In 2019, Luxembourg’s investments in Bulgaria amounted to EUR 1.35 billion. We are the third largest investor in Bulgaria, this country’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn pointed out during the official visit of Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva to Luxembourg. Bulgaria is a good friend of Luxembourg. We have always supported your membership in the EC and NATO, Jean Asselborn underlined. “Bulgaria will not forget Luxembourg’s huge support during its Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as Luxembourg’s support for the EU integration of the Western Balkans during Bulgaria’s rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union” Ekaterina Zaharieva pointed out in return. Minister Zaharieva’s visit to Luxembourg is the first visit of Bulgarian Foreign Minister to this country in the past 13 years.
