European People’s Party MEP Andrey Kovatchev announced that the European Commission’s environmental impact assessment of the Mobility package would be ready in the autumn.

At a briefing before tomorrow’s European Parliament’s plenary in Brussels, Andrey Kovatchev pointed out that if the package is approved at second reading tomorrow, then it will come into effect officially. In his words, however, if it is confirmed that it will have negative effects for the drivers, for the companies and for the environment, then the Mobility package will be repealed by a new legislative decision. Meanwhile, Bulgaria and several other countries are ready to refer the Mobility package to court.
