Eurozone countries ready to support Croatia and Bulgaria to enter ERM-2: Reuters

The Eurozone countries are ready to support Croatia and Bulgaria to enter ERM-2, also known as the Eurozone’s waiting room, an early stage on the path to membership of the euro currency, Reuters informs citing high-ranking sources in the EU. The decision was officially approved by the Eurozone’s Finance Ministers and the Ministers of Finance of the EU. A video conference meeting of ECOFIN will be held on Friday and Saturday. The news will be prpbably announced after the closure of the markets or during the weekend to avoid speculations. Two years after the countries join ERM-2, they will begin practical preparation for accession to the Eurozone. They will adopt the Euro at the earliest in 2023, Reuters notes.
