The two biggest syndicates in Bulgaria the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB) and Confederation of Labor Podkrepa stated that so far they have not held talks with participants in the latest protests. The trade unions will come up with positions when they discuss the latest events with their structures. CITUB President Plamen Dimitov has announced that some demands made during the protests are quite reasonable and the government must hear these voices. The two syndicates contend that the calls for a nationwide strike are unrealistic. In Bulgaria, the strike is a labor dispute in a given enterprise, for which the consent of more than half of the staff is needed, while in France for example every employee can go on strike when the national syndicates call for a strike, Plamen Dimitrov underlined.
