Bulgarian Minister of Defence Krasimir Karakachanov and Germany’s Minister of Defence Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer agreed there is need of a comprehensive analysis of the threats to Europe.

“A comprehensive analysis is needed of the threats, not just with regard to the Middle East and the Black Sea region, but other regions and points of conflict as well,” Minister Karakachanov said. “With regard to these threats which could arise from the Balkan region, Bulgaria, with its expertise can be extremely helpful,” he added.

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer stated that she wanted cooperation in the defence industry to be stepped up, and added that Bulgarian experts will visit Berlin to get acquainted with Germany’s production facilities.
