We are calling on the government to resign. We want justice, holy and pure republic, the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Kornelia Ninova said from the Parliament’s rostrum. During the debate on the motion of no-confidence against the cabinet, the leader of the opposition party said that "the protests against the government were on occasion of the raids of heavily-armed representatives of the law enforcement authorities in the Presidency building, but the reasons for peoples’ anger are much deeper and the intolerance towards the corrupt government of Premier Boyko Borissov is at the root of the protests". "Corruption is laid down in the law intentionally. We see lobbyism and protection of private interests in the legislation", Kornelia Ninova points out.
