The percentage of people with Covid-19 can be determined according to the number of those hospitalized and placed in intensive care units, epidemiologist Prof. Mira Kozhuharova has told BNT.

Before the pandemic, in epidemiology "case" meant an ill patient. While now anyone with a positive test, even if there are no complaints or symptoms, is also called a "case". The virus is spread throughout society. The epidemic in Bulgaria started much later and now follows its own laws. The professor says it is important to calmly accept the risk and keep life going. Therefore, she believes that children should return to school.

They are not a risk group. Even those infected with the virus are asymptomatic and practically do not get sick, Prof. Kozhuharova says.
