Protesters put up their tent camps once again last night, after the police had dismantled them in a raid the previous night, when they arrested 12 people.

Three key intersections in Sofia are again blocked – at Eagles’ Bridge, in front of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, and in what is known as the  “triangle of power” - the space between the presidency and the council of ministers building .

“There were very few of us, and the police detachment was impressive in size, power and strength. But at around 4.50-5.00 AM they suddenly left. We thought they would detain us all, but it didn’t happen,” said Prof. Velislav Minekov, one of the organizers of the protests, from the so-called “toxic trio” about the situation in the tent camp in front of Sofia University, for the BNR.

“We are staying until we have accomplished our goal – the resignation of the government and of the prosecutor general,” said one of the protesters Todor Stoyanov.

Because of the blockades some public transport routes have been altered.
