Five parties stand a real chance of being represented in the next National Assembly - GERB, Bulgarian Socialist Party, Slavi Trifonov's "There are such people", Democratic Bulgaria, Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
Support for GERB is shrinking, though, for the time being, it looks like the party looks is the leading political force, ahead of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, by a thin margin. At this point 60% of Bulgarians support the anti-government protests, and 39% say that the demonstrations will lead to the government’s resignation. 46% of the respondents say there must be early parliamentary elections, 37% uphold the opposite view, according to a survey by Trend research centre, conducted from 3 to 10 August. The survey registers a decline in the positive evaluation of the work of parliament, as well as of the government during the current month.
