Tsanko Tsankov aims for new record in swimming

Bulgaria’s athlete Tsanko Tsankov who managed to beat yesterday the world record for a twelve hour swim without interruption has a new goal now. He will try to swim the Gibraltar Strait and set a new world record.

The thirty-three-year old swimmer from Burgas became the first man on Earth who managed to swim 50 kilometers without interruption. He swam 50.6 kilometers and is to apply for the Guinness World Record.

“I am glad that I managed to improve the world record and that a Bulgarian swimmer holds the world record now”, Tsanko Tsankov commented in an interview for BTV.
