The campaign “Cigarette Ends for Boat Trip” has been laucnhed at the coastal town of Primorsko. Local hotelier Zdravko Vasilev came with the idea to offer free-of-charge boat trip for a bottle filled with cigarette ends collected at the beach.
“Cigarette ends contain materials which degrade very slowly in the soil. Some cigarette ends collected by the tourists were thrown on the beach more than one year ago”, Zdravko Vasilev says and adds: “Six people brought bottles with cigarette ends yesterday. Today, several more people concerned about the environment brought cigarette ends.”
