The Grand National Assembly is to decide what Constitution will be adopted, Bulgaria’s MEP and former Speaker of this country’s Parliament Alexander Yordanov said in an interview for BNR. Bulgaria is a member of the EU and NATO and it needs to eliminate the imperfections of the current Constitution which were set in as traps for the transition years, MEP Yordanov contends. Alexander Yordanov forecasted that the antigovernment protests in Bulgaria would fail and called them illegal. He reminded that in the 1990’s, when the citizens protested against the Constitution, they set up their tents on the sidewalk and did not block any intersections.
