The Bulgarian National Radio will participate in a large international project for the creation of a digital Audio Library with classical music. 100 works from 100 world radio stations each will be collected in a common project. The idea came from Radio Nacional Clasica of Argentina's National Radio, as the specific occasion is 100 years since the first radio broadcast in Argentina.
By joining this project, the Bulgarian National Radio will contribute to promoting  significant Bulgarian classical music works  around the world. The selection features a wide range of Bulgarian composers - from classics such as Dobri Hristov, Petko Staynov, Philip Koutev, Lyubomir Pipkov, Vesselin Stoyanov, Dimitar Nenov, Pancho Vladigerov, Marin Goleminov to contemporary names such as Vasil Kazandjiev, Emil Tabakov, Georgi Arnaudov, Velislav Zaimov, Plamen Djurov and others.

Each composition is accompanied by a brief presentation of the author, as well as information about the philosophical, political and historical context in which the work was created.

With its 10,000 works, the Audio Library will become the largest digital collection of classical music in Latin America. The music recordings will be freely available for professional musicians and lovers of classical music for research and educational purposes only.

The festive concert with which Radio Nacional Argentina celebrated its 100th anniversary and the beginning of the international project for a digital Audio Library has been provided for broadcasting by the Bulgarian National Radio. In the programme, listeners have the opportunity to enjoy performances of some of the most important musical works of Argentine composers - from Carlos Lopez Buchardo to Alicia Terzian and from Luis Gianneo to Esteban Benzecry.

"We want to thank all the radio stations and institutions in the world that joined us in this initiative and collaborated in the construction of the Centennial Classic Audio Library with us - a space where national identities converge creating a collective new one, through music,” said the Argentine National Radio team on the occasion of the concert and its digital project.
