At the end of the second quarter of 2020, the number of passengers transported by bus or rail in Bulgaria has decreased by 45% compared to the same period in 2019.

The National Statistical Institute reports a decline in both domestic and international transport, which is explained with the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The urban electric transport has transported almost 52% less people compared to April - June 2019.
In the second quarter of 2020 compared to the same period a year ago, the transportation of freight by land had increased by 6.1%.
