Bulgaria’s Commission for Consumer Protection published on its website advices related to face masks requirements. They are based on the standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
According to the standards, the handmade face masks should be made of dense fabric which, however, allows people to breathe normally. Extreme solutions such as vacuum-cleaner paper bags, building isolation materials or nappies are not allowed at all. Multi-use face masks must be washed at a temperature of at least 60C. People are not advised to dry them in a microwave oven or with hair dryers.
