Victory for Tsvetana Pironkova at start of "Roland-Garros"

With an impressive victory, Bulgarian tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova has qualified for the second round of the French Open, BTA has reported. The 33-year-old tennis player, who plays with a "wild card", won 6:3, 6:3 against German Andrea Petkovic for 73 minutes.

This is the second participation of the Bulgarian in a tennis tournament after more than three years of break due to motherhood. With the success today Pironkova secured 84 thousand euros and 70 points for the world rankings.

In the second round she will play against the winner of the match between Serena Williams (USA) and Christy Ann (USA).
