The famous Bulgarian jazz musicians Ekaterina, Alexander and Konstantin Wladigeroff who have been part of the cultural life of Vienna for years had a wonderful "Bulgarian summer" this year, or in other words - time for family, friends and fans. The grandchildren of the Bulgarian classic composer Pancho Wladigeroff gave several concerts in the country. They also took part in the presentation of the new film "Stave of Memory", dedicated to their musical family. Although it is widely accepted that the first famous musician in the family was Pancho Wladigeroff, we should not miss the contribution of his first piano teacher and the mother of his first wife - Pavla Zhekova.
The screenwriter and director of "Stave of Memory" is Mario Krastev. The premiere of the documentary was in September, as part of the Master of Art festival. In the film, Ekaterina, Alexander and Konstantin, as well as their older brother Pancho Wladigeroff - grandson, tell about the life and work of their father - Alexander Wladigeroff, as well as about their world-famous grandfather.

In 2019 we celebrated the 120th anniversary of the birth of Pancho Wladigeroff. Some of the events dedicated to this remarkable anniversary are reflected in the film, which will be shown again on October 24th at the Vlaykova Cinema in Sofia. After the screening, Alexander (trumpet and flugelhorn), Konstantin (piano), together with Stoyan Yankulov-Stundzhi - percussion instruments, will give a concert.
The Wladigeroff brothers are in the process of preparing their next album. This time the music created by Konstantin is based on lyrics by renowned German-language poet Rainer Maria Rilke. The concert version of the project will include poetic translations in Bulgarian and English.
