Effective Covid-19 vaccine will be available in April next year at the earliest: Premier Borissov

I am categorically against full lockdown and severe restrictions. We all knew what was going to happen with the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why I insisted on single medical protocols, rapid tests, solidarity and access to vaccines for all EU citizens, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov said before the Covid-19 video conference meeting of the European Council, BGNES informed.

The purchase of vaccines is a cause for concern. Purchase requests are made even before vaccines are developed. However, it may turn out that we have vaccines for 300 million people, but only 300,000 want vaccines and then we will have to destroy and discard the rest, Premier Borissov said. Effective Covid-19 vaccines will be available in April next year at the earliest, Boyko Borissov went on to say and added that there is now way for the current situation to subside in 2 or 3 weeks.
