"This year our society has come out of despondency and every free citizen has become an enlightener," President Rumen Radev said in a statement to the media on occasion of the Day of National Enlighteners.

The President pointed out that the way Bulgaria would look like tomorrow depends on our awakening. According to him, each of the irreconcilables, who with the light of their phone flowed into the sea of lights in the squares across the country, was an enlightener. The head of state also pointed out Bulgarian compatriots abroad - united in their demand for a modern and European Bulgaria, as well as satirists exposing demagoguery and corruption, and journalists daring to seek the truth.
