Prime Minister Borissov has conversation with Chancellor Merkel about North Macedonia

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has held a video conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the government's press service reported. Bulgaria is grateful for the commitment of the German presidency and to you personally for the search for formulas that would allow the start of North Macedonia's negotiations for EU Membership, PM Borissov said, BTA reported.

Speaking to Merkel, Prime Minister Borissov reiterated Sofia's position, which Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva voiced in Berlin. In the 40-minute conversation, PM Borissov expressed confidence that with the help of the German presidency, correct decisions on the topic would be reached.
