4,390 newly registered Covid-19 cases, or almost 40% of all tests performed

4,390 is the number of newly reported coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, or 39,66% of the 11,068 PCR tests performed, Single Information Portal data show.

This is the highest number of new infections on a daily basis since the start of the pandemic.

4,176 people with coronavirus are in hospital, 280 of them in intensive care. The number of active cases has reached 55,716.The number of recoveries in 24 hours is 516, the number of deaths - 80. A total of 83,366 people have contracted Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic and 25,799 have recovered.

155 is the number of infections among medical staff over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections among health workers up to 3,278.
