Union of Paramedics is losing confidence in government

The Bulgarian Union of Medical Assistants and Paramedics has announced that it is withdrawing its trust from the government and Health Minister Kostadin Angelov because of "short-sighted and chaotic health measures related to the pandemic situation."

In their position, the union points out that the claims published by the Ministry of Health and the ruling GERB that all citizens have access to highly qualified medical care were clearly unfounded. The union says it is ready to call on its structures in the country for a national protest, as there has been no response to the request for a meeting with the health minister for three months. According to the organization, all methods and means for a normal dialogue with the government have been exhausted and the resignation of the cabinet was the only useful act.
