Rosatom ready to enlarge consortium for Belene NPP

Rosatom is ready to add more participants to the consortium for construction of Belene nuclear power plant, the company’s First Deputy Director General Kirill Komarov announced.

In June Rosatom signed memoranda of understanding with Framatomme SAS and GE Steam Power in the framework of strategic investor selection procedure for the Belene NPP in Bulgaria. In accordance with the agreement, the companies will work together to participate at the tender for the construction of Belene NPP. The consortium was included in the shortlist of 5 applicants for the Belene NPP.
