The government has proposed to President Rumen Radev that Bulgaria have one special ambassador to the three Baltic republics – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

In 2011, due to the economic crisis, the country closed its embassies in the three countries with the ambassadors to Poland and Finland taking over this responsibility, 24 Chasa writes. Selver Halil, who has graduated international relations from Marmara University in Istanbul, has been nominated for the post.

Seated in Abuja, Yanko Yordanov, a diplomat from the “America” directorate will be Bulgaria’s new ambassador to Nigeria, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Benin, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo. Plamen Tsolov will be Bulgaria’s new ambassador to Morocco.
