According to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the target approved in Brussels of reducing harmful emissions to 55% by 2030 offers good opportunities to countries like Bulgaria, Poland and the Czech Republic which rely on coal for their energy.

In Brussels the Bulgarian prime minister discussed, with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the question of Bulgaria’s being assisted in this period, BNR’s correspondent in Brussels Anguelina Piskova reports. A compromise has also been achieved on energy production by nuclear power plants, which also affects Bulgaria, Boyko Borissov stated further.
