Bulgaria marks 65th anniversary of its membership in United Nations

"Today, the global community faces a number of complex challenges. The world needs collective wisdom and visionary leadership more than ever", Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said in his video greeting on behalf of the Bulgarian people to the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, the press office of Bulgaria’s head of state announced.

On December 14, 1955, Bulgaria was admitted to the United Nations and today it celebrates 65 years of membership in the UN.

In his greeting, President Radev reaffirmed Bulgaria’s commitment to the eternal and universal goals and principles of the organization.
