The Bulgarian resorts of Borovets and Bansko ranked second and fifth, in the chart of the best ski resorts in Eastern Europe by website Emerging Europe, 24 Chasa has reported.

Among the advantages of Borovets are about 50 kilometers of immaculately groomed slopes, suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers, as well as excellent accommodation and dining options. Disadvantage is said to be the slopes offering limited possibilities for experts and off-piste skiers.

Bansko is described as a lively town that existed centuries before it became a ski resort and that its historic center retains great charm. The slopes are about 70 km long, most suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers. A disadvantage is the access to the ski area and the long queues at the gondola lift.
