This afternoon, a Bulgarian tourist, skiing in an unmarked zone in "Demyanishka dolina", in the area of the ski resort Bansko in Pirin, sought help from the Mountain Rescue Service after he found himself stuck in a snowslide.

The snowboarder rode off the track despite the higher avalanche danger announced in mountains due to the new snow and the dynamic weather conditions.

After the signal, rescuers helped the tourist. Fortunately, he was not injured, but his actions endangered his life, rescuers said. Three avalanches fell in Pirin today.
