All preventive measures have been taken and, where necessary, controlled release of water from the dams is being carried out, BTA reported.

A state of emergency has been declared in the municipality of Trun due to rivers overflowing their banks. A partial state of emergency has been declared in Pernik, the mayor of the town Stanislav Vladimirov told the BNR.
