The Ministry of Justice is launching an information campaign “Stay together” for Bulgarian children and their families abroad.

The campaign is being launched because of the increasing number of times social services in the respective country have had to take measures with regard to the children of Bulgarian citizens.

Partners in the campaign are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the State Agency for Child Protection. Information is available on their websites, and on the websites of all embassies and consular offices, regarding the competence of the authorities and the applicability of other countries’ legislation as concerns children who are Bulgarian citizens. The most frequently asked questions are: when is a child at risk and how is the risk evaluated by the local social services, the BTA reports.
