European Prosecutor’s Office requests more information for seven Bulgarian candidates for Delegated Prosecutors

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office has requested additional information for some of the Bulgarian candidates for European Delegated Prosecutors. The College of the EU Public Prosecutor’s Office headed by Laura Koveshi will decide on their appointment, BNR’s correspondent in Brussels Angelina Piskova reported.

According to Euractiv, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office has remarks on seven of the ten Bulgarian candidatures. The Bulgarian candidates were elected by the Prosecutors’ College of the Supreme Judicial Council.  The delegated prosecutors’ task will be to fight fraud in EU spending, including fraud in public procurement.
