“Smeli” frigate to take part in international exercise in the Black Sea

The “Smeli” (“Brave”) frigate with commander Captain Third Rank Trifon Mitishev sailed off on March 12 from Varna to the port of Poti in Georgia, the headquarters of the Bulgarian Navy has reported. Until April 1st, the ship will be part of Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 and will take part in an international exercise with the participation of the Romanian Navy, called "Sea Shield".

The preparation of the crew has been carried out for a short time. All had PCR tests. The crew was quarantined on board the ship, where the last stage of preparation took place. “Smeli” is expected to return to Varna on April 1st.
