The Council of Europe has published the responses of Bulgarian authorities to a report from the end of 2020 of the Committee for Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. Bulgaria says that existing homes for people with disabilities will be closed by January 1, 2035.
