Prime Minister invites founder of BioNTech to visit Bulgaria

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has spoken on the phone with founder of German company BioNTech, Prof. Uğur Şahin, BTA has reported.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the main challenge today was to make vaccines accessible to all citizens not only in the EU but also worldwide. PM Borissov pointed out that more and more Bulgarian citizens wanted to be vaccinated because they are convinced of the benefits of immunization, which saves lives and livelihoods.

Bulgaria has a long tradition in the production of drugs and vaccines, the Prime Minister added and invited the German scientist and his team to visit Bulgaria to get acquainted with the activities of the state-owned vaccine manufacturer BulBio.
