23% of coronavirus tests performed in past 24 hours return positive

4,497 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, or 23% of the 19,242 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. The highest number of new infections is in Sofia – 1,183, followed by the regions of Plovdiv - 391 and Varna - 264.The number of active cases is currently 67,864, the number of hospitalizations is 9,679, of them 752 coronavirus patients are in intensive care.

203 coronavirus patients have died in the past 24 hours, and 3,112 have recovered.The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic has reached 333,250, the Covid-19 death toll is 12,913, the number of recoveries has totaled 252,473. A total of 2,078,028 tests have been performed.

9,006 Covid-19  vaccines have been administered over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of shots administered to 445,547.

90,327 people have received their second dose of coronavirus vaccine.
