Bulgaria’s Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov welcomed in Sofia the 41st Bulgarian military contingent that took part at a NATO-led mission in Afghanistan.

"There was no traditional acceptance of responsibilities between the contingents and we had to start implementing the tasks from scratch, which was the most difficult thing." said commander Colonel Todor Todorov, who expressed satisfaction that all members of the military contingent returned home safe.

120 Bulgarian troops guarded the Resolute Support headquarters in Kabul and the inner perimeter of Kandahar Airport, Camp Dahlke and Bagram Air base.
