Almost 47,000 Bulgarian women have received a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. A total of 238,000 doses of the Oxford vaccine have been administered in Bulgaria until now, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health told BGNES.
Meanwhile, the National Vaccination Headquarters announced that the AstraZeneca vaccine should be used with caution in women under 60 and that it should not be administered to people, if they are at a risk of blood clots. “Expert councils have to answer two very important questions- what to do with the people who received a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine and what to do with people who want to receive the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine”, commented Bulgaria’s Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov on April 12.
