“GERB will approach the formation of a government with a high sense of responsibility for the sake of the voters who supported the party,” stated PM Boyko Borissov at the last government meeting before the new parliament is sworn in.

“Everyone should take a responsible approach,” Boyko Borissov stated and added that “there is a constitutional way to proceed”.

PM Borissov added that he was not afraid of a caretaker cabinet. “The people who are asking this question are themselves afraid of democracy because the main task of a caretaker government is to organize fair elections,” he said. Boyko Borissov stated further that international observers had assessed the 4 April parliamentary elections of having been fair and transparent.
