This year's Rose Festival in Karlovo is held with a bazaar of rose-oil products "Rose Alley" and a craft workshop. For the first time it is organized not in the town centre but in the park near the stadium, BNR-Plovdiv reported.
Today the festive events will begin with the rose picking ritual in the rose fields near Karlovo where this year's Queen of the Rose Elena Danova will be welcomed. The traditional procession of the Queen of the Rose and the folk dance performance will also take place at the stadium, and in Old Karlovo and in the Historical Museum there will be demonstrations of rose brewing and tastings of rose products. The celebration will end with three open-air concerts.
The Rose Alley Bazaar lasts until May 30.
