Bulgaria can participate in training of the Afghan security forces after the withdrawal of its main contingent from Afghanistan. Bulgaria's participation in the Afghan National Army Trust Fund will continue, the Minister of Defense Georgi Panayotov said during a video conference meeting with counterparts from NATO countries.

The forum has discussed the preparations for the summit on June 14th and the NATO 2030 project. Strengthening protection of the airspace on the Eastern flank of the Alliance is part of Bulgaria's contribution to strengthening the Alliance's presence in the Black Sea, the Bulgarian minister said. Ministers have also approved a new comprehensive NATO cyber defense policy.
