Bulgaria pays EUR 8 for a PCR, citizens pay between EUR 46 and 61

In April 2020, Bulgaria paid EUR 8 for a PCR test, indicates a report of the Bulgarian Institute for Legal Initiatives, beased on official documents, informed the reporter of the Bulgarian National Radio Anelia Dzhambazka. More than 30,000 tests were negotiated at this price. In July 2020, another 42,000 tests were purchased and Bulgaria paid nearly EUR 7 per piece.

At the start of the coronavirus pandemic, a PCR test in Bulgaria cost between EUR 45 and EUR 61 euros. Bulgarians paid up to EUR 97 for an express PCR test.
