The Central Election Commisison will not negotiate the price of voting machines for the forthcoming early general elections, the commission‘s spokesperson Tsvetozar Tomov said in an interview for the BNT. He specified that the Central Election Commisison has set a maximum price of EUR 3.25 million and no order will be placed, if there are no candidates. In his view, only Ciela Norma company would be able to participate at the procedure. However, this company is dissatisfied with the proposed price.

"Elections in Bulgaria were held without voting machines. Early Parliamentary elections will be held in Bulgaria in any case, even if no additional voting machines are delivered", contended the spokesman of the Central Election Commisison. The President of the 45th National Assembly Iva Miteva also commented on the case. In her words, the refusal of Ciela Norma to supply more voting machines for the forthcoming early general elections at the price set by the election commission is arm-twisting.
